What is ESCAPE PAIN?
ESCAPE-pain stands for Enabling Self-management and Coping with Arthritic Pain using Exercise
An education and exercise programme for people with chronic joint pain or osteoarthritis
It is a six week programme designed to reduce pain and disability starting Tuesday 14th January 2020 and ending Thursday 21st February 2020
From the class you will received information, advice and support to help better manage chronic joint pain and lead a more active life in the education session.
The exercise session is tailored to the individual need that is gentle and benefits anyone at any age.
You have the chance to socialise with and learn from other people living with arthritis.
Gentle physical activity has been proven to be safe, improve pain, mobility and wellbeing without making arthritis symptoms worse. This is for any age.
This is supported by NHS England and Versus Arthritis. This programme has attained multiple awards and endorsements: www.escape-pain.org
The programme lasts six weeks or 12 sessions (2 classes per week over 6 weeks). Each class integrates education and exercise.
